AIRPORT FACILITIES: ATMs and bureau de change facilities are available. Stamp vending machines and post boxes are located throughout the airport. A wide variety of retail outlets, bars, restaurants and cafés are available on all concourses. Hotel phone centres are located in the lower level of the main terminal in the ground transportation centres. There are various shops, including a shoeshine, newsagents, duty-free shop, gift shop, sweet shop, leather goods shop, music shop, sunglasses shop and jewellers. Left luggage lockers are available in the main terminal, whilst luggage trolleys are available for use throughout the airport. DISABLED FACILITIES: Wheelchairs and assistance are available through airline representatives at each airline counter. Visual paging is available in the main terminal and Concourse B, whilst Telephonic Devices for the Deaf (TDDs) are available throughout the main terminal and in all concourses. The airport has disabled toilets, lifts fitted with Braille signs. There are also car parking spaces designated for disabled passengers in the airport car parks which are located either close to the terminal or close to the shuttle bus shelter. Airport shuttle buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts and can transport disabled passengers to the terminal building. CONFERENCE AND BUSINESS FACILITIES: Business service centres are located at the east end (tel: 703 572 2963) and west end (tel: 703 572 2969) of the upper level of the main terminal. They provide bureau de change facilities, insurance, fax, photocopying, notary and other services. There are also business service centres in Concourses B, C and D. CAR RENTAL: Car rental companies include Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty. Courtesy telephones can be found in the ground transportation centre on the lower level of the main terminal. Shuttle buses are available to take passengers to pick up their car. Shuttle buses leave from outside the terminal building. Car hire check-in facilities are available 24 hours a day. Limousine services are also available and passengers must book these in advance. CAR PARKING: Hourly and daily parking is available within walking distance of the main terminal and long-term car parks are connected by a free shuttle service; there is also an additional 'purple' economy car park. DRIVING DIRECTIONS: From central Washington DC, go west on I-66 to exit 67, follow signs to the airport, approximately 26km (16 miles) from exit 67. From Baltimore, go south on I-95 to exit 27 (I-495 West - the Beltway) to exit 12B, follow signs to the airport, approximately 21km (13 miles) from exit 12B. From Richmond, go north on I-95 to exit 170 (I-495 - "The Beltway") to exit 12B, follow signs to the airport, approximately 21km (13 miles) from exit 12B. From West Virginia, go south on I-81 to I-66 East to exit 53 (Route 28 North), then follow Route 28 to airport. From Roanoke, Southwest Virginia, go north on I-81 to I-66 East, follow I-66 East to exit 53 (Route 28 North), then follow Route 28 to airport. PUBLIC TRANSPORT AND TAXIS: The Washington Flyer Express Bus (tel: 1 888 WASHFLY) runs to National Airport, West Falls Church metro station, Union station and several hotels in the city. Metrorail services can be accessed by taking this bus to West Falls Metro Station. Greyhound also provides a service from the airport to several locations in Virginia. Washington Flyer Taxicabs exclusively serve Dulles International Airport, offering a 24-hour service to/from the airport. AIRPORT HOTELS: The Marriott Hotel (tel: 703 471 9500) is located in the airport grounds; a shuttle service is available every 3-4 minutes to take passengers to the hotel. There are also numerous hotels nearby which provide free transportation to/from the airport. A list of hotels located close to the airport can be found in the ground transportation centre in the main terminal.
