INFORMATION AND HELP DESKS: Airport information desks are located in the lobby of Terminal 1 and at the top of Concourse C in Terminal 2. Staff provide translation services (also available through LanguageLine telephones) and assistance to passengers with special needs. Tourist information is also available in both terminals. AIRPORT FACILITIES: Both terminals offer ATMs, banks and bureaux de change. The airport has postboxes in both terminals, paramedic assistance, shopping, cafés and bars. Leisure services include ski rental, coin-operated TV chairs and a golf course on the airport site. Other facilities include a beauty shop, several gift shops/newsagents, coin-operated lockers which are located throughout the four concourses, stamp machines and a shoe shine service. As well as cafés and bars, there are also fast food outlets and coffee shops at the airport. DISABLED FACILITIES: There are lifts and ramps at the airport, which are conveniently located next to stairs and escalators. There are also specially-adapted telephones, which include TDD telephones for the hearing impaired and low-level telephones which can be reached by passengers in wheelchairs. Disabled toilets have low-level sinks and extra-wide stalls, as well as hand rails. Disabled passengers are advised to inform their airline in advance of any special requirements they may have and to request wheelchairs (if required) well in advance. If wishing to use public transport, disabled passengers should also telephone in advance to arrange any travel requirements. There are also reserved car parking spaces for disabled travellers in all airport car parks and extra-wide stalls close to entrances. Shuttle buses, which serve the long-term car park, have hydraulic lifts, and the majority of gift shops and restaurants can accommodate wheelchairs. CONFERENCE AND BUSINESS FACILITIES: The Skytel Business Centre in Terminal 2 and the Zion bank both offer fax machines and photocopying. Computer phones are located in Terminal 2. Translation services are available at the information counters in both terminals. The Hawk's Nest (tel: 801 575 2611) on level 3, in Terminal 1, can be hired as a private meeting room/dining room. CAR RENTAL: Rental companies include Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar and National. Car hire companies are located on the lowest level of the parking terrace. CAR PARKING: The short-term parking terrace is located directly west of the terminals. The short-term car park has direct access to the main terminal; the long-term car park has a free shuttle service running every five minutes to/from the terminals. DRIVING DIRECTIONS: I-80 connects Salt Lake City to the airport; the airport exit is just west of the intersection with the I-205. From Ogden (north of the airport) or Provo (south), take I-215 and turn onto I-80 west at the intersection, exiting almost immediately for the airport. PUBLIC TRANSPORT AND TAXIS: A ground transportation desk is located in each terminal (tel: 801 575 2477 or 575 2571). Taxis, limousines and vans are readily available. The Greyhound bus company and Utah Transit Authority provide buses to many destinations 0600-2200 Monday-Saturday and 0600-1730 Sunday. AIRPORT HOTELS: There are no hotels on the airport site. Hotels near the airport include the Comfort Inn, Hilton, Holiday Inn and Sheraton. Hotel shuttle services can be ordered through phones at the ground transportation desks, or by using hotel telephones which can be found at the far end of both baggage reclaim levels.
