

Carnival and NCL restart service from two Florida ports (Travel Weekly)
Last weekend, Carnival Cruise Line resumed service from Tampa, FL with Carnival Pride on a seven-day Western Caribbean cruise. The Norwegian Escape launched Eastern Caribbean itineraries as well from Port Canaveral. Both lines now have half or near half of their fleets returning to service
Holiday Inn Express opens 3,000th hotel (The Points Guy)
In celebration of their 30th anniversary, Holiday Inn Express has reached a huge milestone in the opening of their 3,000th hotel. The brand was the very first to franchise back in 1954, and by 1956, just two years later, it was the largest hotel chain in the world and the first to reach 300,000 rooms. Holiday Inn also introduced the very first hotel loyalty program in 1983.

Travelers report low satisfaction in J.D. Power car rental satisfaction study (autoblog)
Travelers today are faced with higher prices and lower-quality rentals thanks to the car shortage brought on by the pandemic. As a result, overall customer satisfaction in the car rental industry is down from previous years. Hertz, which came out on top the past two years, dropped below industry standard, likely due to the quality of vehicles being rented out to customers. Enterprise came out on top, with their sister brands, National and Alamo, close behind.
